Opening the Door to Home Ownership- Home Buyer Education Program
May 21, 28, 2008         5:30-9:00 pm (must attend both nights) register by May 16

Location: Salt Lake City - Salt Lake County Government Center; 2001 South State Street, South Building, Room S1010 or S1200.

Topics include how to: prepare financially, determine the right home for you, find 1^st time homebuyer grant programs, shop for a realtor, lender and title company, close the deal and handle life as a home owner. Cost: $15 per household. Registration required one week before class. Class may be cancelled if insufficient registration. HUD Certificates of completion for housing programs provided. Personal Financial Choices -Basic Financial Management Classes will be taught monthly from 5:00 -7:00 pm. Salt Lake County Gov. Ctr 2001 South State Street, South Bldg. Room S-1008 0r S1200.Class will cover basics of communication & personal planning, managing your money, buyer beware, restoring credit and the wise use of credit. Cost is $10 for the general public and includes workbook. $50 for Bankruptcy filers. This meets the education requirements under the new Bankruptcy Abuses and Consumer Protection Act. A certificate of completion will be issued. Registration is required one week prior to the classes. Call 468-3179 for registration materials and to pay fees.
