Take $200 is an exciting new campaign starting this tax season in order to spread the word on creating emergency funds. We want all Utahns to take at least $200 from their tax return and place it into a savings account. This can be done by using Tax Form 8888 and directly depositing tax refunds in up to 3 separate accounts.
Tax season is a perfect time to start this type of savings fund due to the generally large amounts of tax returns given back during the season. Use tax refunds to pay off debt, purchase some needed items, AND save for a rainy day. Saving at least $200 from your tax return will allow financial stability in uncertain times.
