First and foremost, Utah Saves encourages and assists individuals to save and build wealth. We do that at both local and statewide levels. We get out the message and deliver services in three ways:

Public Awareness: Through mass media and grassroots efforts, create widespread public awareness that saving money and planning for your financial security is a must. Motivate the public to begin saving toward a goal and enroll as a Utah Saver.

Coordination: Bring together the many great financial education and wealth-building programs already available locally. Provide a safe gateway for all Utahns at any income level to find the specific tools they need, and help existing programs have greater reach and impact.

Programs & Services: Offer support tools that complement existing financial education programs. These tools are available to all Utah Savers and include:

• Access to asset-building programs that match savings, assist with tax preparation, enable low-income families to take advantage of federal Earned Income Credits that are available, etc.
• A wide range of no-fee or reduced-fee financial products including: savings accounts, mutual funds, IRAs, etc.
• Access to Individual Development Accounts
• Free how-to seminars on specific financial planning topics
• Wealth-building workshops that motivate people to save and plan
• Free one-on-one mentoring, coaching and on-going support through volunteer coaches
• Savers Clubs, through Utah Saves Sites, to give on-going encouragement and support to Utah Savers
• Utah Saves Moneyline: 1-800-350-9899 available Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.to 6:00 p.m., and on Saturdays 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. that Savers can call with any financial question, for referrals to additional resources, or to enroll 
• Utah Saves website with a Personal Wealth Estimator and information about how to save, how all Utahns can save, how to enroll as a Utah Saver, and other Utah Saves Updates
• Monthly Utah Saver—Money Matters newsletter with upcoming financial education opportunities, latest financial news, savings tips, and motivational stories of current
  Utah Savers
